Further work on North -South -Yug -Lavrov corridor will soon be agreed upon

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jehun Bayramov, the opportunity to discuss bilateral relations on the eve of presidential contacts, the media reports.

“We are happy with our next meeting, today we finally hold a trilateral meeting with our Armenian colleague, which was planned at the end of last year, and a good opportunity to take advantage of your stay in Moscow to look at the state of our bilateral affairs, all the more in the anticipation of the planning contacts of our leaders, ”he said.

Lavrov emphasized the overall focus of Moscow and Baku to implement all the agreements that were previously reached by the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev.

“Among the last interesting projects – the international transport corridor of the North – South. Our leaders discussed this to both themselves and with the participation of other interested countries, and there are many of them, so we expect that at the next meeting, further work will be agreed on this and on this other directions, ”added the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.

He also noted that on Monday, events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the ex-president of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev started on Monday in Moscow. “In this regard, they are grateful for the close cooperation of your embassy in the organization of these events,” Lavrov said.
