The Russian invasion of Ukraine is a violation of the UN Charter, said the Secretary General of the organization Antoniu Guterrish at a briefing in Kyiv after meeting with President Vladimir Zelensky.
“One of the UN values is respect for territorial integrity. This is fundamentally,” Guterrish emphasized, admitting that “the UN Security Council could not do everything in his power” to resolve the conflict. At the same time, the Secretary General noted that UN employees provide assistance while working in Ukraine in 30 locations.
