President of Gayan Muhammad Irfaan Ali announced a three-day mourning in the country in connection with the death of 19 children as a result of a fire at school, the press service of the head of state said.
“I ask that we, as a nation, devote the next three days to prayers for these children, their relatives and community,” the statement of the head of state said.
