Gen. Ben Hodges urged Ukraine to prepare

Ukraine should be ready to provide its own security in the northern direction and be able to transfer forces from the Crimea and Donbas to the border with Belarus or to the northern border with Russia. Rosbalt reports that such opinion was expressed by the former commander of United States Army Europe Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges.

Hodges believes that “there is a threat from the Russian side.” He added that Ukraine should be trucks for quick logistics, improve the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donbass, as well as to ensure the transparency of the defense budget of the country, to prevent misuse of funds.

Armed Forces of Ukraine should pay more attention to training and retraining of officers, added Hodges. In his opinion, “the purpose of the Kremlin – to Brussels, Berlin and Paris, Ukraine was seen as a bad state, which undermines the economic system that undermines the authority, undermines people’s trust”
