General Power Of Turkic World: Organization Of Turkic States 16 Years Old

Organization of Turkic states (OTG), which is the Central Institute for the integration of the Turkic world, notes the 16th anniversary of its creation.

The organization was established on October 3, 2009 after the signing of the Nakhichevan agreement by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, entitled “Council of Cooperation of the Turkic-speaking States” (Turkic The council).

the goal of OTG is to deepen the integration of countries related to the general history and cultural values, as well as the development of cooperation in politics and economics, education and culture, defense and security, transport, customs interaction, tourism and sports.

Today, OTG unites territories with a total area of ​​4.25 million square meters. km and the population of about 160 million people, turning into an important international union that strengthen the geopolitical influence of the Turkic world.

on the 8th summit in Istanbul on November 12, 2021, it was decided to rename the Turkic council into the organization of the Turkic states, which became a new stage in the integration process. OTG structure includes the Council of Heads of State, the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Aksakalov Council, the Committee of senior officials and the secretariat. The 12th summit in Azerbaijan

Since the creation, the organization has held 11 summits at the level of heads of state. The next, 12th OTG summit will be held on October 7 in Azerbaijan under the motto “Regional World and Security”.
