General Staff Of South Korean Armed Forces: North Korea Launched Several Ballistic Missiles Into Sea Of Japan

The DPRK launched several short-range ballistic missiles towards the Sea of ​​Japan (East Sea) a few days before US President Donald Trump’s visit to South Korea, the Yonhap news agency reported, citing the South Korean General Staff.

According to the statement, the missiles were launched at 08:10 local time from the area Chunghwa in southern North Korea. The shells flew about 350 km, but information about whether they fell into the sea was not specified.

The launch occurred on the eve of Donald Trump’s visit to Seoul, where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit will be held on October 31 – November 1. The American leader is expected to hold talks with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung.

South Korean media drew attention to the fact that Pyongyang launched missiles several days before Trump’s visit.
