Georgia called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to sit at negotiating table

“We are very anxious to observe the military escalation between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the conflict arising as a result.” This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

The department declares the need for peace negotiations to prevent further exacerbation of the situation.

“Any escalation of conflicts negatively affects the security of the region as a whole. Therefore, the joint efforts of the international community to relieve tension and the resumption of dialogue are of particular importance. Georgia is committed to active participation in the process of restoring peace and stability in the region, conducting a dialogue between the parties to the conflict”, – says in the statement of the ministry.
