Georgia discusses closure of sky for Russian aircraft

“The Government of Georgia is negotiating with partners, including with neighboring countries, discussing the issue of the possible closure of airspace for Russia.” This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili.

He noted that Tbilisi carefully approaches this issue, but is consulted with partners, including the countries of the region.

Davitashvili added that the airspace of Georgia as a transit is used including neighboring countries that fly to Russia.
