Georgia offered negotiation site to Azerbaijan and Armenia

Georgia is interested in becoming Tbilisi to become a platform for negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by the candidate for the post of head of the Foreign Ministry of the country Elijah Darchiashvili during a speech in parliament, the Georgian media reports.

The politician noted that the Georgian authorities took important steps to promote peace and stability in the region.

“From the point of view of promoting peace and stability in the region, Georgia took an important step with the launch of the initiative of the peaceful neighborhood. We are ready to continue our participation in this direction …

“We want Tbilisi in the future to become a place for our neighbors where they can discuss any relevant topics that will contribute to the formation of trust between the parties,” Darchiashvili’s words are given.
