Georgia reported detection of new oil reserves

The British oil producing company Block Energy found oil reserves near the village of Patarchii in the east of Georgia, the Georgian resource Business Formula reports.

After the last stage of testing the well, which started on December 9, the volume of oil production in this site is 45 barrels per day.

The Padzuly deposit was transferred to Block Energy in 2020. Oil production was carried out there back in Soviet times, for example, in 1975-1985, production amounted to 98 million barrels.
