Georgia vaccinates residents of Abkhazia and South Ossetia

Georgian Health Minister Ekaterina Tikaradze declared the adoption of an important decision to vaccinate Abkhazia and South Ossetia, reports Telegram-channel “Sputnik near abroad.”

The vaccine residents of Abkhazia and South Ossetia will be able to make only in the territory controlled by the Georgian authorities.

Tikaradze added that now in Georgia there is a coronavirus vaccination with two preparations – Astrazeneca and Pfizer. By the end of the week, the arrival of 100 thousand doses of the drug from China is expected.

In the Ministry of Health of Georgia, at the same time complained about low vaccination rates.

Georgia began to instill a population from COVID-19 later in the region, waiting for the Western vaccine. However, after March 19, a 27-year-old nurse died from anaphylactic shock, perhaps caused by vaccination, many doctors refused to make injections. In several regions, vaccination has stopped.
