Georgia wants peace with Russia

Georgia advocates a peaceful settlement of the conflict with Russia, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Elijah Darchiashvili during a speech at a special session of the UN General Assembly on the occasion of the anniversary of the outbreak of war in Ukraine.

Darchiashvili noted that a peaceful settlement of the conflict is possible thanks to the liberation of the two regions of Georgia from the occupation and restore trust between the peoples.

The head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry also expressed support for the sovereignty and the international recognized territorial integrity of Ukraine. He noted that Georgia supports the Formula World initiative at the end of the war in Ukraine.
