Georgian President said government did not allow her to visit Ukraine

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who is on a working visit to Brussels, said that after Belgium she planned to visit Poland, Ukraine and France for negotiations on the provision of the status of a candidate for the EU, but the government did not allow her to do this.

“I wanted to visit France, Poland and even Ukraine, with which we together in this matter and which we must be grateful, otherwise there would be no accelerated process [to grant the status] of the candidate, but I was refused this journey. I was told that the government has already done everything to support the process of obtaining the status of a candidate, ”Zurabishvili said on Friday during her television, writes TASS.
