Georgian Prime Minister supported bilateral format of Baku and Yerevan

Azerbaijan and Armenia for Georgia are not only partners, but also fraternal countries. This was stated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the Davos Economic Forum, Georgian media reports.

According to Garibashvili, the position of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia is to have relations at a bilateral level

“We understand that there are many players in this region. I know the position of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia that they want to have a relationship with each other at a bilateral level,” the prime minister said.

The head of the government noted that this is the right path, since “with so many intermediaries and interested parties, the process sometimes becomes more conflict and counterproductive.”

The politician expressed the hope that Baku and Yerevan would “find a solution and will soon sign a peace agreement.”
