Chairman of the Christian Social Party (CSS), which is part of the Coalition Government of Germany, and Bavaria Prime Minister Marcus Zeuder said that Russia would not agree to the deployment of NATO troops in Ukraine.
, in an interview with the newspaper Rheinische post, the Zeuder expressed his opinion on the sending of troops to Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees who are in the one Germany.
He noted that it is difficult for him to introduce the deployment of NATO troops in Ukraine, and added: “Russia will never agree to this, because it will become a preliminary stage in Ukraine’s entry into NATO.”
, according to him, the German army is not ready to be sent to Ukraine due to the lack of material and personnel resources, therefore, a mandatory military is needed in Germany Service.
Discussing the situation of Ukrainian refugees in Germany, Zeader said: “At present, the world (in Ukraine) is not expected. Therefore, it is quite legitimate to think about sending Ukrainians capable of fighting to their country to ensure security.”
Party Chairman noted that not everyone in Germany understands why Ukrainians receive social assistance in Germany, called a “civil manual” (Bürgergeld), without paying contributions to social insurance funds, and argued that this “civilian manual” is the cause of the low share of Ukrainians working in Germany compared to other countries.
