German President: Do not push Ukraine at negotiating table

Germany President Frank-Walter Steinmeier spoke out against calls against Ukraine about negotiations on the termination of the war that Russia began. It is reported by Bild.

“We must put Ukraine in a provision when it has something to negotiate by making it strong before the start of negotiations. We will not put pressure on Ukraine. This remains a decision for Ukraine when to go along this path,” Steinmeier said.

As for the influence of the war on Germany, he said: “It is also possible that we have several difficult years ahead.”
