Government of Germany told about the negotiations of the Chancellor Olaf Scholz with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
TASS with reference to the representative of Cabinet of Cabinet of Germany Steffen Hebhestrate writes that politicians discussed ways of diplomatic permission to the situation in Ukraine. Scholz called Putin to seek a “speedy truce” and promote the improvement of the humanitarian situation in the country. The Russian leader informed about the initiatives of Russia and Ukraine to find a diplomatic solution.
After the telephone conversation with the Russian leader Scholz also contacted President Vladimir Zelensky, and he outlined his evaluation of events and described the course of negotiations with Moscow, the press service of the German government said.
“Chancellor talked with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and found out his assessment of the current situation in Ukraine and the negotiation process. They agreed to keep in touch,” the report said.
