Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to win the time in Ukraine. With this point of view, the Minister of Defense of Germany Boris Pistorius made a meeting of the heads of defense departments of the European Union (EU) in Brussels.
Pistorius noted that after the telephone conversation of US President Donald Trump and Putin there are no signs of intentions declared by the Russian side.
(Putin) still does not make any concessions, he speaks of the ceasefire only on his conditions, namely, such as Non -Accompanations (Ukraine) in NATO, the rejection of the occupied territories and much more. Vladimir Putin clearly pulls time, and this is quite obvious, ”he said.
The Minister of Defense of Germany believes that even if Russia is ready to discuss the memorandum, the ceasefire is not yet expected.
“Therefore, unfortunately, it is necessary to state that Putin, it seems, still does not show serious interest in the world, in the ceasefire, at least on conditions that would be acceptable for others,” he said.
