Germany will receive millions of tons of gas from Qatar

Qatarenergy Katar oil and gas company and Conocophillips signed a contract for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Germany for at least 15 years since 2026, Western media reported on Tuesday.

“Germany has the largest gas market in Europe … And we are aimed at supporting its energy security,” said Saad Saad Saad Sherid al -Qaabi.

According to the terms of the transaction, Germany will receive 2 million tons of LNG annually, deliveries will come from Ras-lafan in Qatar for a floating terminal for receiving LNG in Brunbuttel in the north of Germany.
