In January-February of this year, the average monthly nominal wage of employees increased by 11% compared to the same period of 2021, reaching 768.3 manat.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the highest salary was noted in the areas of mining, financial and insurance activities, professional, scientific and technical activities, information and communication, as well as transport and warehousing.
On March 1, the number of employees in the economy of Azerbaijan compared to the same period 2020 increased by 3.6 thousand people, or 0.2% and amounted to 1,682.1 thousand people. Of these, 902.5 thousand people – in the public sector of the economy, and 779.6 thousand people – in the non-state sector.
