In 2022, a smuggling in Azerbaijan 1 tons of 383 kilograms 507 grams of narcotic drugs in the amount of 36,592,485 manat was prevented, 24,683 kg of narcotic plants were destroyed, Azerbaijan reported at the Ozerbaijan State Border Service (GPS), dedicated to the results activities in 2022.
It was noted that in 2022 they were detained: for violation of the state border – 559 people, for violation of the border regime – 9827, 2843 persons on the wanted list, persons with fake documents – 319, persons with other people’s documents, and 6, and 6, and 1 person when trying to illegally cross the border checkpoint.
As a result of the use of weapons by border outfits to the border violators in six cases, 2 people were injured, 4 border violators were injured that were not compatible with life.
