Greece decided to close its airspace for aircraft from Belarus. Athens also banned flights to this country, reports Pentapostagma.
As the publication notes, such a decision is associated with an increase in fears about the possible direct participation of Belarus in the Russian war against Ukraine. Today, the country’s authorities approved the corresponding directive on the introduction of a number of restrictions.
“, in accordance with the decision of the Council, the aircraft operated by the air carriers of Belarus is prohibited by landing, take -off from the territory of Greece or span over its territory,” the directive said.
Greek air carriers should not perform flights to Minsk and not fly into the airspace of Belarus.
