Greece expands naval base in Crete

Greece will expand its weapons program on the island of Crete, there are plans to modernize weapons and expand the naval base, writes the Daily Sabah newspaper with reference to official sources.

According to information, for this, Athens are going to allocate 190 million euros. In particular, it is planned to modernize the base in the court of the court. According to the planned plan, the base will become permanent for the Greek fleet and will provide it with access to the eastern Mediterranean.

About 1.2 billion euros will be spent on updating weapons: the purchase of ammunition and missiles, servicing helicopters, modernization of salvo fire systems.
