Today, the European Championships started in Budapest. On the first day of competitions on the carpet came out five Azerbaijani wrestlers of freestyle. Four of them made their way to the final.
The leader of the Azerbaijani national team, 3-fold champion of peace and Europe, Gadzhi Aliyev (65 kg) defeated rivals from Turkey and Moldova and went out to the final, where tomorrow with the representative of Hungary Ismail Musikaev.
Debutant European Championships Aliabbas Rzazade (57 kg) defeated fighters from Spain, Bulgaria and Georgia and also made his way to the final. There, his rival will be Vladimir Egorov from Northern Macedonia.
Ashraf Ashirov (79 kg) began with the victory over the Bulgarian athlete. Then he defeated Armenian Arman Avagyan – 11: 0. And in the semifinals, Ashraf defeated Georgian Vladimir Gamkrelidze. In the final he will withstand Greek Georgios Cuhimcidis.
Also, Magomedhan Magomedov (97 kg), who won rivals from Lithuania, Georgia and Poland made his way to the final. In a fight for gold, he will meet with Vladislav Baitsaev from Hungary.
And only Zyridin Bayramov lost to the semifinals to the Georgian wrestler and coming to bronze. Before that, he defeated the Hungarian and Macedonian.
Finals will take place tomorrow evening, and in the afternoon there will be another five of our Wolnikov – Islam Bazarganov (61 kg), Turan Bayramov (74 kg), Abubakr Abakarov (86 kg), Osman Nurmagomedov (92 kg) and Ahmedov (125 kg).
