Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden Tobias Bilstram.
According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Fidan brought to the attention of his Swedish colleague the inadmissibility of the continuation of the company to desecrate the Holy Quran.
Minister Fidan emphasized the inadmissibility of the continuation of these vile actions under the guise of freedom of speech. He expressed the expectations of specific steps from the Swedish government to prevent attempts to desecrate the Qur’an, which caused a violent reaction in the Islamic world.
During the conversation, the parties also discussed the issue of Sweden membership in NATO.
