Today, a meeting of the founding members and the Board of the Board of the Federation of Sports Journalists of Azerbaijan was held.
It was noted that the 2-year activity of the Federation can be recognized as satisfactory: despite the pandemic, it was possible to realize a number of ideas.
Then, as a result of voting, it was decided to change the name of the organization. From now on, it will be called a public association of sports journalists of Azerbaijan.
The number of members of the board of board was increased from 9 to 11. The head of the sports department of Haqqin.az Elmir Aliyev was also elected to the Council. High trust was also rendered Shamsaddin Abbasov (CBC Sport), Azeru Gulieva (Arb24 TV), Kenan Khakimova (ITV), Vugaru Nazarova (IDMan TV), Ayan Najaf (head of the press service of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan) and Ulker Abbasov (press. Secretary of the Judo Federation of Azerbaijan).
Next, a closed meeting of the new composition of the board of board was held, which unanimously elected Azer Guliyev as the president of the association.
It is worth saying that earlier the organization, created in 2020, was headed by Gabil Mehtiev. He, as well as Mahir Rustamli, Jamaleddin Rakhmanov, Farid Mansurov and Hellas Mustafaeva left the Board Council.
