Harvey Vanstein’s sentence was sentenced

Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who was serving a 23-year term for sexual crimes, additionally received another 16 years of prison for rape.

Recall that since October 2017 more than 80 women, including actresses Kate Blanchett, Angelina Jolie and others, talked about sexual harassment to them from one of the most influential Hollywood producers.

In March 2020, the court sentenced Harvey Weinstein to 23 years in prison. He himself did not admit his guilt. For several months, lawyers tried to revise the verdict of the court, who sent Weinstein to prison for decades. The defenders referred to the fact that the judge acted in the interests of the prosecution during the process, but the Supreme Court of the state then did not see any mistakes in the judge’s behavior, and the verdict was valid.

In August 2020, the court in New York gave permission to Vainstein to appeal the conviction in the case of rape and sexual harassment.
