Head of African Union will go to Sudan for negotiations on ceasefire

The head of the Commission of the African Union (AS) Musa Faki Muhammad will go to Sudan on an emergency order to negotiate a ceasefire.

This was reported in the African Union, expressing deep concern in connection with the ongoing fierce clashes in Sudan.

The International Inter-government Organization called on generals in the Eastern African country to provide protection to civilians.

The African Union said that a peaceful decision and a comprehensive dialogue were needed to terminate the conflict and called on the parties categorically to prevent any foreign intervention that could complicate the situation in Sudan.

In Hartum and a number of other cities of Sudan in the morning, on Saturday, April 15, armed clashes between the army and the SBR broke out. The clashes lasted all night.

Disagreements regarding the reform of military security, which provides for the complete integration of the SBR into the armed forces, resulted in a hot conflict between two power structures.

The World Health Organization reported the death of 83, a injury of over 1.1 thousand people from the beginning of clashes.
