Head of European Commission discussed EU and Mexico cooperation in Mexico Coisine

The Chairman of the European Commission Ursula von der Lyan, as part of the countries of Latin America, met in Mexico City with Mexican President Andrese Manuel Lopez Dodor.

According to the administration of the President of Mexico, the parties discussed issues of renewable energy and European-Mexican ties.

von der Lyain and the Rastor called priority issues to the struggle against social inequality and poverty, human rights and issues of renewable energy.

The parties agreed on the support of social justice on both sides of the Atlantic, a course aimed at economic growth and development.

The agenda of the negotiations also stood the issues of climatic changes and the negative impact on biodiversity, illegal migration, healthcare, inflation and food security, mutual investments and expansion of humanitarian programs.

The head of the European Commission, following the results of negotiations, announced the acceleration of the process of signing an agreement on free trade between Mexico and the EU.
