The Chairman of the Bundestag Federals Berbel Bas arrived in Kyiv. According to the protocol, she holds the second highest post in the state after the federal president and to the federal chancellor and the president of the Bundesrat, the Russian BBC service reports.
BAS has become the highest -ranking representative of Germany, who came to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion. She will take part in commemorative events dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, will lay wreaths on the grave of an unknown soldier in Kyiv and on a memorial in Babi Yar.
The meeting of the BAS with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky is also planned.
