Head Of Kazakhstan Arrived On State Visit To Moscow

The head of the Kazakh state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, arrived on a state visit to Moscow.

According to the press service of the Kazakh leader, at the Vnukovo-2 airport, an honor guard company of the Moscow garrison and a military brass band were lined up at the Vnukovo-2 airport in honor of the distinguished guest.

The head of the Kazakh state was met by the first deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and other officials. The national anthems of the two states were performed.

It was previously reported that from the moment of crossing the state border until landing at Moscow airport in Russian airspace, the President of Kazakhstan was accompanied by Su-35 fighter jets of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Upon arrival in the Russian capital, the President of Kazakhstan talked with MGIMO students.

“MGIMO is a prestigious university that is known all over the world. Today Kazakhstan is a sovereign state. I am sure that the knowledge that you will receive at MGIMO will be useful to you. The more you know about different countries, especially about Kazakhstan, which is a natural ally of Russia, the better for you in terms of getting a job, competitiveness at the global and regional levels,” the president noted.

Earlier, the Kremlin press service reported that during the negotiations between the two leaders, topical issues of the further development of Russian-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance in the political, trade and economic spheres will be discussed. and cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the main topics of the regional and global agenda.

It is planned that Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will address via videoconference the participants in the plenary meeting of the XXI Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, which will be held in the Kazakh city of Uralsk.

Important bilateral documents have been prepared for signing during the visit.
