Head of Ministry of Defense of Estonia: EU will not be able to transfer million shells by end of March by end of March

The European Union will not be able to send a million shells to Ukraine until the end of March, although such an obligation was taken a year ago.

This was announced at an informal meeting of the Minister of Defense of the European Union in Brussels by the Minister of Defense of Estonia Hanno Pevurku, the Estonian National Television and Production Company Err.

According to the minister, almost half of the promised will be sent by this time, and the rest will be delivered before the end of the year.

“We can report good news – we are fulfilling the promise to put a million shells to Ukraine. Although not all of them will go to Ukraine until March. According to the agreement, more than 500,000 shells were delivered to Ukraine, and by the end of the year, more than 600 000 shells, that is, a total of more than 1.1 million, ”said Pevour.

According to the head of the department, by the end of the year, the production capabilities of European countries should increase to about 1.5 million shells per year.

Estonia also handed over to Ukraine thousands of shells, but the exact data of the authorities do not disclose, the minister added.
