Tanap to Turkey, 24 billion cubic meters of natural gas, is pumped on the Transanatolian gas pipeline to Turkey.
This was said by the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shakhbazov at the III Energy Forum of Azerbaijan -Sturcation and the I international conference “Nakhchyan – Zone of Green Energy”.
“For many years, Azerbaijani-Turkish energy cooperation of regional and international significance with joint energy and communication projects, such as Baku-Tbilisi-Jahan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, Tanap and Southern Gas Corridor plays an important role in ensuring energy security. “,” he emphasized.
According to him, Azerbaijan and Turkey are today considered reliable strategic partners in European energy supply.
The Minister noted that since the beginning of the year, 7.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Azerbaijan, in particular 4.2 billion cubic meters, was transported to Turkey – along the Transanatoly gas pipeline.
Shakhbazov said that by the end of this year, Azerbaijan plans to put 10.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas in Turkey.
Note that the Azerbaijani-Turkish energy forum was initiated as part of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the two countries in order to further strengthen strategic energy partnership. The first forum took place on December 21-22, 2021 in Baku, and the second on October 5-6, 2022 in Istanbul.
