Head of Ministry of Justice of New Zealand was fired due to resistance of police

Minister of Justice and Regional Development of New Zealand Kiritapu Allan was dismissed after she was arrested for dangerous driving drunken and accused of police resistance.

This was announced by the country’s Prime Minister Chris Hipkins.

Hipkins noted that Allan “is now not in the state to act as a minister.” “She agreed with this and said that she would immediately put her responsibilities and return home to think about her future in politics. I accepted this resignation,” Hipkins said in a statement.

The prime minister indicated that “during the incident, Allan experienced a strong emotional shock caused by personal problems and shaken mental health.”
