US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin during a telephone conversation with Ukrainian colleague Rustem Umarov once again confirmed the support of Ukraine from the USA.
According to the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), the conversation of the two ministers was devoted to the latest events during the conflict in Ukraine.
In particular, ministers discussed the consequences of Russian missile strikes in cities and infrastructure in Ukraine. In addition, Ukraine’s needs for additional artillery, air defense systems and other means were discussed, the report said.
Austin and Umarov agreed that the US Congress should adopt an additional bill on national security as soon as possible. The ministers promised to maintain close contact on this issue, the report says.
