Ukrainian troops control approximately a third of the territory of Severodonetsk – the industrial zone and adjacent quarters. This was announced on the air of the information telemarathon, the chairman of the Severodonetsk city military-civil administration Alexander Stryuk.
“The city is now Ukrainian. With our armed forces, part of the city is controlled by the industrial zone, adjacent quarters. The line of defense is built and holds. The night was quite difficult under dense artillery fire,” he said, clarifying that about a third of the city is controlled by Ukrainian fighters. .
According to him, the territory of the Azot plant was sheated, which makes it difficult for Ukrainian defenders.
“The situation is quite complicated, but controlled,” he added.
Stryuk noted that the city was subjected to very serious destruction.
“a third of the quarters will require new buildings – this is the central and new part of the city, the old part of the city may be restored,” he said.
