Head of SVR of Russia believes that West will “abandon” Ukraine

Western countries will ultimately stop inevitably stop providing support to Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by the director of the foreign intelligence service (SVR) of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin, Russian media reports.

“The puppet Kiev regime alien to most Ukrainians will ultimately inevitably be abandoned by its overseas owners,” he said.

According to the head of the SVR, Russians and Ukrainians are two parts of the triune people. “Despite the seriously changed circumstances, I mean the aggression of the Western bloc against Russia, in which Ukraine is involved, I remain on this issue in previous positions, namely: Russians and Ukrainians are two parts of the triune people, whose history goes deep into the centuries” – said Naryshkin.

According to Naryshkin, Western countries are increasingly discussing the need to replace the current president of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. The head of the SVR noted that “reliable data” about this is already received in the foreign intelligence service of the Russian Federation.

“The possible successors of Zelensky are considered as the head of state. In particular, on the sidelines of the EU foreign ministers in Brussels in November, it was noted that one of the senior Ukrainian military, for example, the commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, could become such Chief Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov, as well as the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrei Ermak, former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Alexei Armovich, the mayor of Kyiv Vitaly Klitschko, ”TASS quoted the words of the SVR.
