Head of Turkish Ministry of Defense announced four -sided meeting on Syria in Moscow

The four -sided meeting of the heads of the Ministry of Defense and the intelligence services of Turkey, the Russian Federation, Iran and the regime of Bashar al -Assad are scheduled for Tuesday in Moscow. This was announced by the Minister of National Defense of Turkey Hulushi Akar.

Akar recalled that on December 28 last year, again in the Russian capital, a three -way meeting of the heads of defense departments and intelligence services of Turkey, the Russian Federation and the Assad regime, and, according to its results, a decision was made to continue the mutual dialogue.

“Subsequently, an agreement was reached on connecting to the Iran dialogue. Preparations began for negotiations in a four -sided format. On April 25, a meeting will be held in Moscow to resolve problems and proceeds the long -term world and stability in the region,” he said.

According to him, the official Ankara is making every effort to contribute to the regional world, and according to the results of the Moscow meeting, positive processes may take place.

At the same time, he assured that Ankara would not take any steps that would infringe on the rights of the Syrian brothers standing side by side with Turkey. “Turkey’s policy is extremely clear,” he stressed.
