Head of Ukrainian Security Service was appointed

Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted for the appointment of Vasily Malyuk as head of the Security Service of Ukraine. Before that, he was the acting head of the SBU.

This was announced in his Telegram channel by deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

For the appointment of Malyuk, 324 deputies voted to the post of head of the SBU. The vote was attended by the President of Ukraine, the vice president, Prime Minister, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and the Prosecutor General.

“taking into account such a result and the test of a full -scale war, I consider it (Malyuk – ed.) The purpose is quite justified. We carry out personnel changes in the field of security in order to strengthen the defense,” the President of Ukraine said before voting.

Malyuk himself said that his work will focus on finding collaborators at all levels.

“I am a military man and devoted my whole life to the protection of the country. There will be cleansing the service from traitors. A special emphasis is – the fight against collaborators at all levels,” he said.
