General Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adkhan Goebreesus said that as a result of an attack on a hospital in the Sudanese city of El Mudzhled (West of Cordofan), more than 40 civilians were killed, dozens were injured.
Goebreesus told about the tragedy in the publication on the platform X.
“Another terrifying attack on healthcare took place in Sudan. This time, the El Mudfan hospital was hit in the Western Cordofan. More than 40 people were killed, including children and medical personnel, dozens were injured,” the head of the WHO
said.
He emphasized that the world community should “declare louder about the need to put an end to attacks on the healthcare system everywhere.”
