Head of WHO called upon to prepare for new epidemics

The world community should take into account the lessons of the current Pandemic of Coronavirus and prepare for new epidemics, said the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adan Hebresus.

Turning to telecommunications to participants in the health summit of small island states, Gebresus noted: “We all have to learn lessons who teach a pandemic.”

As the head of WHO, it is necessary to “make everything possible to prepare for new epidemics and pandemics, to prevent them, identify and quickly on them to respond on the basis of universal coverage of health care services and strong primary medical care,” reports TASS.
