Heads of Foreign Ministry of Armenia and Azerbaijan will hold negotiations in United States

Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jaykhun Bayramov and Armenia Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will be held on Monday, May 1 negotiations with the participation of the Secretary of State of the United States Anthony Blinken.

The US State Department reports that negotiations will be held in Arlington (Virginia).

In the meantime, Baku reported the telephone conversation of President Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

According to the information of the site of the Azerbaijani leader, Blinken emphasized the significance of negotiations on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and assured that US support in this context will continue.

US Secretary of State noted that he believes in the possibility of achieving peace, and has touched on the construction of the border checkpoint on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.

President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan supports a peaceful agenda and it was Baku that initiated the start of negotiations on a peace treaty and normalize relations with Armenia.
