Heads of General Staffs of countries of Central and South Asia discussed regional security

In Tashkent, a conference was held by the chiefs of the General Staff of the countries of Central and South Asia. This is stated in the message by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan.

The Conference was opened by the Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan Baddyr Kurbanov and the head of the central command of the US Armed Forces, Michael Kurill.

As part of the conference, issues such as regional security and stability, the fight against terrorism and humanitarian aid were discussed, the statement said.

It was attended by delegations of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, USA, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
