The death toll from floods caused by heavy rains in Mexico has risen to 72, with 48 missing.
Mexican media reported that the death toll has risen over the past week due to heavy rainfall caused by tropical storms Priscilla and Raymond.
Currently in five states of the country, 72 people were killed, another 48 are still missing.
21 helicopters and additional rescue units were sent to the most affected regions – Veracruz, Puebla and Hidalgo.
Authorities reported that search and rescue operations are continuing.
Meanwhile, the Federal Electricity Commission Mexico (CFE) reported that 95.4% of power lines have already been restored in five flood-affected states.
