House Of US Representatives Canceled California’s Decision To Ban Gasoline Cars

The House of Representatives of the US Congress adopted a bill on the cancellation of the right to ban the sale of gasoline vehicles granted to the state of California by 2035.

The bill was adopted by the House of Representatives by 246 votes “For” at 164 votes “against.”

The bill is aimed at canceling the California plan, approved by the administration of the former president Joe Biden, according to which at least 80 percent of cars sold by 2035 should be electric.

Republican John Joyce from the state of Pennsylvania in his message on the social media platform X said: “I am proud that our bill on the protection of consumer choice in the automobile market was held in the House of Representatives with two-party support. Congress cannot allow California to determine national policy.”

Joyce turned to the Senate, where the Democrats make up the majority, and asked to support the adoption of the law.
