House of Representatives of the US Congress adopted a resolution condemning China for “violation of the US sovereignty” due to the incident with the Chinese balloon.
A resolution that has no obligatory force was supported by 419 legislators. Nobody voted against.
In the text of the document, the House of Representatives “condemns the egregious violation of the US sovereignty by the PRC,” and also “decides that the US policy should be to act quickly and decisively in order to impede violation of the United States sovereignty with foreign intelligence platforms”, in including those associated with China.
Laws also demanded that the presidential administration Joe Biden conduct detailed briefings for legislators regarding all aspects of the incident with the Chinese balloon.
