It is impossible to say that new strains of coronavirsuinu infection become more dangerous for children, the representative of WHO in the Russian Federation Melit Vuynovich said.
“At the moment we cannot say that the situation is anxious,” she said on the air “Russia-24” TV channel, answering the relevant question.
Vuynovich explained that children have more risks to get infected with the weakening of the previously introduced restrictions.
“If there are some changes, of course, we will notify all countries, all experts. Yes, we see more of the sick children, but not such a situation that the virus is specifically applied to children. It simply applies to non-immunized,” added WHO representative.
