In accordance with the order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, as a sign of deep respect for the soldiers and officers in battles for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, the soldiers and officers, all heroically fallen and fought in the Patriotic War, annually on September 27 in Azerbaijan will be celebrated as a memory day.
A number of events are planned in Azerbaijan. According to HAQQIN.AZ in the Organizing Committee for Memory Day, on September 27, in Azerbaijan, religious temples – mosques, churches, and synagogues will be read prayers for peace of heroically fallen over the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. At 12:00 on the territory of the whole country will be announced a minute of silence in memory of the dead.
In the evening on central buildings in the capital with special lighting, including the building of the center of Heydar Aliyev and on the “Flame Towers”, the flag of Azerbaijan will be reflected. Planned and conducting a public association “Regional Development” of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation of Memorial Events.
In connection with the Day of Memory, the central and local executive structures organize memorable events across the country and outside our country.
