Hungarian Prime Minister Orban Criticized EU For “demanding To Send Money To Ukraine”

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, noting that the European Union (EU) is asking member states to send money to Ukraine, said: “This is surprising. At a time when it turned out that the military mafia has embezzled European taxpayers’ money, the Chairman of the Commission, instead of demanding real control or suspending payments, is proposing to send even more money.”

Orbán said in a post on the social network of the American company X that he had received a letter from the Chairman of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

According to him, von der Leyen, noting a significant funding shortfall in Ukraine, asked member countries to “send more money”: “This is surprising. At a time when it turned out that the military mafia has embezzled European taxpayers’ money, the Chairman of the Commission, instead of demanding real control or suspending payments, is proposing to send even more money.”

The Prime Minister described this request as “sending another can of alcohol for the alcoholic.” He stressed that Hungary is not losing common sense.
