The first regional energy forum “Energy of Central Asia – China”, organized by the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, together with the Association for the assistance of infrastructure and innovative development, began in the capital of Kazakhstan.
According to Kazinform, the purpose of the forum is to transfer agreements at the level of heads of state into a practical plane. According to the results of the meeting, it is planned to sign a number of investment agreements and launch strategic projects aimed at developing oil and gas and green energy.

, within the framework of the forum, key initiatives in the fields of energy, industry and infrastructure will be presented and approved for implementation. About 60 agreements are expected to sign a total of almost $ 25 billion.
Among them is the modernization of the Shymkent oil refinery. The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazmunaygaz JSC and CNPC will sign a frame agreement on the expansion of the power of the refineries to 12 million tons per year. The project will increase the processing of raw materials and increase export of oil products.
The construction of a carbamide plant in the Aktobe region starts in the gas industry. The corresponding agreement will be concluded “Qazaqgaz”, the akimat of the region and Chinese investors. The China Construction Bank Corporation will also open a $ 1 billion loan to finance infrastructure projects in the country.
In the field of “green” energy, the construction of the Sauran solar station is planned with the energy accumulation system. In addition, memorandums will be signed on the creation of hydro -accumulating stations with China Southern Power Grid and on cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy with China Energy International.
